There were the bold ones and funny ones and caring ones and roaming ones and watching ones.
Mine was the watching one.
She always has been.
And it's okay.
It's what's always made her, her.
And watching these precious people,
watching them with their inclinations, their habits, their way of saying and doing their piece,
it's what makes her...her, him...him.
The kind one wandering with the purse on her arm, the sweet one pushing the birthday girl on the bike, the peaceful little who chooses to ride the bike backwards it's just her way. The stomping cowboy boots, the six year-old throwing the ball for all the little girls, my baby boy passed from arm to arm, and my girl who after two hours of watching decided to join the party and ran and ran and ran, in her own time, to the beat of her own drum.
Our children,
Beautiful.
Giveaway winner posted soon...there's still time to get your name in...
There's those days as a mom, a wife, a lady, a teacher...heck, just a human, that you just feel like life in general is just out of your league.
Let alone totally equipping a small person, a small MAN, for life.
Like we all know when it's one of those days that just keepin' myself from slappin' the snooze one too many times is enough of a challenge.
Or, and I'm telling on my sister with this one, one of those morning when you try to unlock your classroom door with your electric car door button.
Or one of those nights like last night where opening a prepackaged container of guac with a torn bag of tortilla chips qualified as a well-balanced dinner.
And I've got this creepin' feeling that my journey with the wrestle factors of life has only just begun.
So, today,
I
keep calm
and
carry on
pray on
breathe on
press on
sing on
And, well,
it doesn't hurt to look good adoin' it.
So,
