Well...today was it. The day of Ellie's first shot...at least the first one Mommy witnessed. Good thing it was only one...Mommy just about lost it! The nurse was wonderful, reassured me that she looked for the smallest needle she could, and even jetted out the door after her apology to Ellie to give mommy a little privacy and dignity trying to hide the tears...Yes, Ellie cried up a storm...for about twenty seconds. She sniffled a little on mommy's shoulder afterward, but then it was mommy who needed to gain her composure! Next week, however, Ellie has to get several shots so that will certainly be interesting! For now, I took a picture of her precious little band-aid to commerate little Ellie's courage! And, she's up to 9 lbs 14 oz! She's in the 50th percentile for weight and 40th percentile for length at 21 and 1/4 inches. She's growing like the little dandelion she is!
