What these pictures left unsaid:

Three cups of coffee but another one might just happen

One hour of Jazzercise

Breakfast dishes undone and lunch dishes already mixed in

Eight outfit changes

All burp cloths soiled

All dish towels also in the dirty hamper

A number of tantrums I will leave unnamed

Six bibs found randomly around the house

Five diaper changes

A wipeout and skinned knee on the kitchen floor

All before eleven a.m.

Yes, there's a lot these pictures leave unsaid.

Guess it's just one of those days.

Big

Two things are big today.

1. This girl's big dance moves...



Yes, they are inherited. From me.
And yes, I'm totally dancing behind the camera while snapping these shots.
To the tune of a little Bieber boy.
And yes, that is her brother's Bumbo seat. Placed on a chair so she can reign proudly like the princess she is.



2. This big love...





I can't wait to tear up over these pictures someday. Because I do already.

Today

Today was not only beautiful...



It was my first day home by myself with two lovie pies.









One of which growing more alert by the day...





One of which growing more spunk by the day...











And as proof of the latter, she puts herself in time-out these days...



So at the end of my first day with my babies, after lots of diaper changes, lots of "time-outs" (for real), lots of book time and lots of pacifier use...Ellie says it best.

Goldfish, Raisins and Babies

Ellie and I got the opportunity to go visit this fresh little bundle, Riley Kate, yesterday.


She snoozed the whole time. What a snuggle she is.

And I told Ellie to take notes on what it's like to be a big sister. Beautiful, spunky girl.




So Ellie did a lot of watching.


And Avery did some teaching.

And they both did some playing.











And then some snacking on goldfish and raisins.





And then a kiss goodbye.
