Although we still have one celebration to go,
I'm starting the recap now...
We spent Christmas Eve at a church service with my parents.
Carols, bells and candlelight,
a beautiful service
Then,
Christmas day was mostly spent just us this year,
in our jammies
and was mostly camera-free.
We started it all with homemade cinnamon rolls, as per my great-Grannie Annie's recipe;
it was such a nice day.
We kept it simple with
slippers all around,
good and full stockings that were pretty much sponsored by the dollar spot at Target,
(Santa brought these in T's stocking. They were not interesting nor have they been used.)
one special gift for each munchkin,
one special gift for each munchkin,
(T's dinosaur)
(El's pop-beads)
finished off with the gift of a puzzle for all of the littles that ended up being too tough for even daddy's attention span that morning,
followed by an afternoon of movie watching, hot cider and a dinner of chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, still in the pajamas from the night before,
which really usually means
the best kind of day.
