They knew what to do from there.

Sometimes my sappy momma heart gets the best of me...

knowing this baby boy,

his softness, his weight,

his part of me.

Knowing he,

in my arms
as I'm

wondering at him,

 dreaming for him...

is not too far off from another mother, 

holding her Son

on a not so quiet night,

her Savior.

Festivities

It was almost exactly nine years ago I met my man

and these nine years have held more than we ever imagined

both of naughty and nice...

But a man who beards himself so jolly-ly for the festivities we hosted recently,

Absolutely priceless.

Much like my sister's homemade light-up sweatshirt.

And twinsie couples.

Aren't they all just lovely?

So attractive.

Their gingerbread house designs are even better...

So creative, unique,

Some even holy.

The men couldn't resist getting in on the action...

Which was then followed by my teacher-brained games...

Guys versus girls.

It got serious.

Really intense actually...

As in a ruler was required to make sure all were playing fairly.

It's how we do things around here.

I think this one was my favorite...

Kleenex boxes strapped up by spouses, filled with ping pong balls

to be shaken out by the rump alone...

Hilarious.

And the cleanup?

Not quite as hilarious.

But worth every moment.

What I'm loving...
The weather has been far from frightful around here...

but bringing just enough brisk

carrying just enough crisp

to warrant wearing some cozy.

...A perfect last minute gift for the beauty queen in your life...

Santa

My weekend had lots of "to-dos"

but actually really only one "have-to". 

So we gathered the cousins

and the local preggo

(yes, we are all still on twins watch...days away and counting...)

for the fun. 

I'd like to say it all was glitter and magic
