Children

A cloudy muddy morning

turned child central

full of rolly pollies,

slobbery cheerios,

and cousin tumblin'.

There were cozy cuddles,

secret sharing,

babies strewn.

Hip hauling,

arm-round-snugglin'

while cheering for the newest reader.

All while celebrating graduating from winter's flu season

so these little children can come play

and 

play 

we 

did.

Even got outside for some singing and dancing

with a touch of rough housing.

It's okay,

we just sat back and admired.

It was a full day,

and we're so blessed.

Moments

I've been wanting to take this picture for a long time,

before these moments pass

the ones where she's four and thoughtful and imaginative and curious and sweet and strong and pensive and reserved

and loves her tea.

I'm soaking these moments up.

Easter

Easter was spent tucked away

across the prairie lands

between long highways and stretched pastures,

nuzzled up with Nana and Papa.

Our 

first trip back as a 

family of five.

Encouraged by a friend, 

I spent a lot of time leading up to it

reading the Easter story with my littles

loving the resource found here to help me retell the miracle
that brought us life.

And, 

when we arrived,

the weather couldn't have been any more perfect,

the three different Easter eggs hunts any more enjoyed,

the munchkins any more darling

the sunshine any more soaked,

the songs any more full

celebrating

life.
